PHED 1400
PHED courses are 2-credit hour physical education electives that are taken by students from every major on campus. The goal of these courses is to teach students how to play a new sport, help them improve at a particular sport, and to teach them a few basic health principles associated with increased physical activity. An important secondary objective is that these classes allow students to become more physically active during their busy school weeks, improving the health and well-being of the student body at Auburn University.
Teaching responsibilities include managing online health and wellness portal assignments, teaching students the rules, skills, and strategies of a particular sport, and facilitating daily games and competitions.
PHED 1400 sections taught:
- Ultimate Frisbee
- Softball
- Soccer
